Their idea was to get a fresh start in the Community Space for everyone to feel comfortable in. This included sorting through old stuff and cleaning everything properly whilst having a good time together! For the Spring Clean-up Event to happen, Sofie, Anja and Victoria needed support from the Community Creator Fund. The Community Creator Fund helped them promote their event and finance snacks for the hard working villagers!

In February 2023, Shea and Rebecca from CPH Village Refshaleøen applied to the Community Creator Fund.

Shea and Rebecca wanted to host a Gyoza Workshop for Villagers at Refshaleøen. Their idea was to pre-make vegan filling and invite villagers to the Community Space, where they could learn how to wrap their own Gyozas. According to Shea and Rebecca, the Gyoza workshop was a great way to bring people together, make new community memories while teaching people how easy it is to make homemade vegan gyoza!

To make the Gyoza Workshop a reality, Shea and Rebecca needed support from the Community Creator Fund. The CPH Village Community Creator fund helped Shea and Rebecca print their beautiful flyers and promote their event. The Fund also financed groceries for the Gyozas.

FAQ

  • The fund supports events and activities that improve life in the village. This might be a flea market, building an outdoor kitchen, arranging a conference about sustainability or simply a game night or knitting event. Your only limitation is your imagination! 🧚

  • If you have noticed anything that needs improvement at the outdoor and indoor Community Spaces, you can always apply to the Community Creator Fund. Perhaps you are short on kitchen tools, chairs etc., or maybe you have a great idea of how to improve the shared Community Spaces! Let us know, and we can help fund your idea!

  • Anyone who lives in CPH Village can apply to become a Village Creator. You can send an application on behalf of your block, a club or just yourself. As long as your idea benefits the community, we want to hear from you!

  • An application is evaluated based on the outcome of the idea and the amount of Villagers who'll benefit from it and for how long. You can apply for anything from 200 DDK and up to DKK 10.000,-. The higher the amount you apply for the more the project must benefit.

  • After your application to the Community Creator Fund is approved, you have one month to bring your idea to life.

  • CPH Village is a company that strives towards sustainable and green solutions, why applications focusing on sustainability, recycling etc. always will be given a high priority. Please be aware that the fund does not support any alcoholic beverages or shared valuables of high costs such as wireless sound systems or expensive tools, since such valuables have been stolen from the common areas in the past.

  • You are responsible for repairs and maintenance of your project. As an example, if you apply for a garden project, you will be responsible for watering and care taking of the plants. Or if you apply for outdoor cushions, you are responsible for how they can be stored in a dry place. Keep this in mind and think of how your idea or project will be sustainable in the long run.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, or if the amount exceeds DKK 1,500,- you pay for the materials needed for your event or activity yourself. This also applies if you exceed the agreed amount for your event or acitivity.

The Community Creator Fund transfers the money via MobilePay after your event or activity has been held. Please note that the fund will only transfer the agreed amount for the event. won’t transfer the amount if it

I don’t have MobilePay, what do I do?

We’re sure you can ask your neighbour or a Villager participating in your workshop with a Danish mobile number for help! :)

    1. Make sure to take clear photos of the receipts showing your purchases for the materials needed for your workshop and to send them to the Community Manager after your event or activity has been held. The receipts must clearly show what the money has been spent on. A superficial screenshot of a transaction won't do.

    2. In addition it is important that you take photos from your event and remember to send them to the Community Manager in the mail with the receipts.

    3. We might use the photos from your event on our website or Instagram. Let us know the name of your Instagram account, if you wish to be tagged in potential postings.

    4. And don’t hesitate to tag CPH Village on Instagram if you’re doing stories or posts from your event or activity! :)

  • When the Community Manager has received the receipts and the photos from your event or activity, we endeavor to transfer your expenses within 2-3 days – and no later than 14 days after your event or activity has been held.

  • If your application is accepted from the Community Manager we need concrete details on the event or activity you are planning and how you will promote it. Such as:

    1. Which date are you planning to host your event?

    2. What specific time do you plan to start and to end your event? Please keep in mind that Parties planned by the Party Committee are permitted to last until 2 AM, however no later than this.

    3. How many Villagers can attend your event or activity?

    4. Create a flyer (find inspiration below) and hang it in the Community Space inviting everyone, to make sure everyone feels invited and well informed of your event or activity.

    5. Remember to send the flyer and a short description and programme of your event to the Community Manager no later than one week before your event. When the Community Manager has approved the description and the flyer, it’s your responsibility to share the invitation as an event in your Villages Facebook group.
