Below are the prices for a private room and kitchen. Bathroom is shared with one person.
Estimated monthly price:
+ Rent incl. electricity, water and heating: 5.733 DKK
- Subsidies: 700 - 800 DKK*
= 4933 - 5033 DKKIn the chart below you can see how your rent is spent
In short, most of the rent is spent on paying on the loans that we establish when we build the villages. Normally real estate projects have 30 year mortages with low interest rates. However, as we are renting land for 10 years, we currently have 10 year loans with high interest rates. We are working to solve this fundamental barrier to our mission of ensuring affordable housing.
*Students from Denmark and EU-citizens are entitled to rental subsidies. The exact amount will be calculated individually. Read more right here.
Deposit: 17.199 DKK (3 x rent)
Prepaid rent*: 17.199 DKK (3 x rent)
* the prepaid rent covers your last 3 months rent = your termination period.
