Terminating your contract

This section contains information about how you terminate your contract and what you need to be aware of when moving out of CPH Village.

How do I terminate my contract?

You contract is terminated by filling our this form. Please use the same email as you signed up to CPH Village with.

How long is my notice period?

Your notice period, or the time between the contract termination and when the contact is over, is three months. Thus, you are responsible for paying rent for three whole months after sending your termination. Please note that you need to move out 10 weekdays before the end of the notice period, as CPH Village needs time to prepare your apartment for the next villager.

How do I pay rent in the notice period?

You are responsible for paying rent in the notice period. We will deduct the amount from the prepaid rent that you paid when you moved in to CPH Village. Remember, you still have to pay for utilities. This will be reflected in the payment invoices sent to you in the notice period.

Can I move out before the end of my notice period?

You can move out of your apartment before the end of your notice period. You will be asked to submit your desired move-out month in the exit form. If relevant, CPH Village will attempt find a new villager to move in during your notice period. In that case, you will be reimbursed pre-paid rent for the period in question.

When do I get my pre-paid rent back?

If you move out before the end of your notice period and we sign a new villager to move in during your notice period, you will be reimbursed prepaid rent for the period in question. Excess pre-paid rent is typically paid back 14 days after the end of your notice period or your last day in the village.

When do I get my security deposit back?

You put down a security deposit of three months' rent when you moved in with us. The security deposit covers the costs of painting and doing repairs to your apartment, if necessary. The amount will be deducted after the work in your apartment is completed. Excess pre-paid rent is typically paid back 14 days after the end of your notice period or your last day in the village.
